the patio out back is open again

Six weeks, one deck — We closed the patio in June because the old decking had gone soft in three places and we were not going to wait for someone to put a foot through it. The new deck is pressure-treated pine on a steel frame, and it should outlast the rest of the building.

More seats, more shade — The old patio held twenty-two people. The new one holds forty, and about half of those seats sit under a slatted roof that cuts the afternoon sun without trapping the heat. There are two long communal tables for groups and eight two-tops along the fence.

Same menu, same hours — Everything on the board is available out back, including the shakes. The patio closes when the kitchen does, at 2 AM. If you want the quietest table, come between 10 and 11 — that's the gap between the dinner crowd and the late crowd.

One thing to know — The patio is first come, first served. We don't hold tables and we can't take reservations for it. If it's full when you arrive, put your name in at the counter and we'll wave you over when something opens up.
